COMMISSIONS: Buoy 2018

BUOYRR is an annual residency and retreat for women, founded by Viva Soudan and Bailey Nolan. Women is defined as an identity beyond a gender binary, including trans and female-identified people. Structured as an intensive, residents develop choreography in various natural landscapes to create a site-specific dance piece. It is currently presented at the Peace Barn, a fifteen-acre spiritual sanctuary in Deep River, CT. This social experiment aims to unify artistic agency with collective consciousness.
